Although the aura of Amitabh Bachchan still stands, there was a time when the ‘Shehanshah of Bollywood’ dominated the industry. It was indeed nostalgic for the actor to go down memory lane to remember the time when the people used to make a booking to watch his movies. ‘Kya Din The two Bhi!! (‘What days they were!!’), Amitabh Bachchan remembers days when he dominated the Cineworld. Sharing a black and white picture depicting long queues of people waiting to buy tickets to catch his action-thriller Don in theatres. He recalled that in some cases the queues were a mile long. Recalling the incredible times of glory, he recalled giving five blockbusters in a single year.

As a coincident could have it, all the movies turned out to be blockbusters. Remembering those times, Big B posted a picture of the release of his movie ‘DON’. Recalling the days he said that some of his movies were in theatres for more than 50 weeks and what days they were. The full caption reads, “Booking of my film DON .. ! And they said .. THEY .. that the queues were a mile long 🥺 …. released in 1978 .. 44 years !! 🥺 AND these also released the same year: DON, Kasme Vaade, Trishul, Muqaddar Ka Sikandar, Ganga Ki Saugandh .. 5 Blockbusters in one year !! 🥺 .. some of them ran more than 50 weeks ..Kya din the wo bhi !!”

Amitabh is seen in epic fantasy drama Brahmastra, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. Directed by Ayan Mukherjee, the movie is a triology with part one set to release in the month of September in 5 languages Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. Besides he shall act in ‘Uunchai’ and the Hindi remake of the Hollywood film ‘The Intern’.
