Anurag Kashyap’s Response To PM’s Warning About Remarks On Movies

Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently warned users not to pass any derogatory remarks on movies. However, it seems that advice has not gone too well with some producers like Anurag Kashyap.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently listed a series of guidelines for his party members. Amongst the many don’ts in the list, the PM warned the members not to pass any unnecessary comments on topics such as movies. Also, the Prime Minister urged everyone to refrain from the existing Boycott culture. Everyone gave a nod to the PM message except for a couple. Amongst them featured filmmaker Anurag Kashyap who was quick to take a dig at it. Noted filmmaker opened up that the warning is too late. Anurag Kashyap response to PM’s advice met with strong reaction from none other than Kashmir Files Director producer. He opened up on the social media Twitter.

Producer Vivek Agnihotri and Kashyap are often in battle with each other. So the confrontation was obvious. Vivek attacked Anurag Kashyap’s response to the Prime Minister. Referring the audience as Mob, he shared the thoughts on Twitter.

Anurag carefree comments about PM’s warning received Vivek’s backlash

Attending the trailer launch of forthcoming movie Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat. He was asked if he supported the Prime Minister’s comments. And he responded with the following.

“Woh agar 4 saal phele keh dete toh wakiye fark padta. Abhi toh mujhe nahi lagta ki koi… apne logo ko koi kabu kar paata hai. Cheezein haath se bahar se nikli hui hai. Abhi aisa nahi hai ki koi kisi ki sunega (If this action would have been taken four years ago, it would have made an impact. Now things are out of control. No one will listen to it now).”

Anurag Kashyap on PM’s reaction

Vivek is the producer of the hit movie, The Kashmir Files. The movie Vivek’s was re-released on January 19. Whereas Anurag’s next Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat will release in cinemas on February 3.
