Bollywood actresses who walked the red carpet at Cannes

As Cannes kickstarts its festivities this week, we take a look back at Indian actresses like Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor who have walked the red carpet and turned heads with their unique fashion statements over the years.

Aishwarya walked down the red carpet for the first time in 2002 for the movie Devdas. She alongwith Shah Rukh Khan and Sanjay Leela Bansali participated in the Cannes for the movie Devdas. Deepika Padukone

Deepika Padukone was selected as one of the Jury member at this year Cannes Festival. She too looked breath-taking in a shouldered gown with a black bow. Her other dresses was unique as she opted for green lime green Giambattista Valli dress made of yards of gauzy fabric and was wearing a pink turban on her head.

Priyanka Chopra

Although Priyanka could not attend the trip this time owing to the health of her baby girl, yet she always dazzled the red carpet. When she attended the red carpet for the first time along her husband she chose a red backless gown along with choppard earings.

During the 72nd Cannes Festival she selected a shiny maroon thigh slit gown by Robert Cavalli with hammered Chopard earrings. For the second walk, she wore a ruffled off-shoulder Georges Hobeika gown and complimented with diamond jewellery.

Sonam Kapoor

Bollywood refers to Sonam as a Fashionista. In true sense she doesn’t seem to put a foot wrong. Sonam is known as a leader in fashion and styling. Last year she walked the cannes in a White tuxedo.
