Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month

One must remember that the month of March is considered as a Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month. President Clinton in the year 2000, has recognized National Colorectal Cancer Month.
There are different kinds of cancers like Bladder Cancer, Brain Tumours, Ependymoma Cancer, in the same way, Colorectal is also one of them. Colorectal Cancer disease mainly occurs when the cells in the colon or rectum start growing numerously mainly in the large intestine and cause bleeding in stool. It is also known as colon cancer or rectal cancer.


India is at a lower risk of Colorectal Cancer as compared to Western countries. Colorectal Cancer disease largely affects Western Country citizens. Earlier this diseases infect people who are above the age of 50. But now since the decade their are large number of young generation who is grandiose by this diseases. The disease is curable with various treatments like surgery to remove cancer, chemotherapy, and heat radiation.


This disease can be occur without any symptoms also but their are some most common symptoms of Colorectal Cancer are :

1. Abdominal Pain Cancer could cause intense pain or cramps in your abdomen. It becomes difficult for you to pass the food that you eat.

2. High chances of Vomiting and Nausea

3. Unexplained weight loss the body becomes weak, not so healthy due to not enough eating.

4. Blood in stool

5 Diarrhoea

6. Constipations 


There is some adequate treatment that we can use to prevent this disease are:


1. Screening Test

Regular screening tests give an idea of how to prevent the overgrowth of cells in the digestive system. These are usually polyps.


2. Eat Nutritious Food

Eat food full of Vitamin D and contains folate. It will act as a safeguard to cure the problems of Colon Cancer disease.


3. Avoid Red Meat and Processed Meat

Red meat like pork, hamburgers, etc has more risk of colon cancer. And processed meat like bacon, sausage also causes Colon Cancer.


4. Stay away from Alcoholic Beverage

To maintain good health, drink dietary products like soya milk. Try to cut down on alcoholic drinks, as many people generally take them. It will increase the chances of Colon Cancer.


5. Do Physical exercises

To beat the risk of Colon Cancer, Do any kind of physical activity like a brisk walk, cycling, yoga, etc at least for 30 minutes. It will enhance and heal your health and pain.
