Mani Ratnam’s and Aishwarya Rai are waiting with abated breath for the release of Aishwarya’s movie Ponniyin Selvan Part-1. Besides Aishwarya, the other actors in the movie include Chiyaan Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha, Jayam Ravi, and Karthi in the lead roles. PS-1 is a Tamil film,b ut is dubbed and released in various languages including Hindi. So far, the movie looks grand and actually is a reminiscent of what Mani is known for. Additionally, the makers are working tirelessly to put out a word and ensuring the movie becomes a success. Movie trailer and songs are already ruling the charts and have created a buzz. It is not only in India that the buzz of Mani Ratnam’s PS-1 is rising. According to reports, the movie is all geared up for a promising start. Statistics obtained from the reports show that the movie has collected over $300K and is expected to make an opening of $600-700K on its first day (including premieres) in the US. Also, the movie is expected to do well. Having Aishwarya in the movie is an added bonus as it shall pull the Bollywood crowd too. However, the movie is releasing at the same time as Hrithik and Saif starrer Vikram Vedha. Both movies shall give stiff competition to each other.

So far, the Hindi promotions have not begun as they are expected to start tomorrow. A grand event is planned, and all the movie stars are expected to star in it including Mani Ratnam, AR Rahman, Chiyaan Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, and Trisha.
