Day 3 was a proud day for the Indians at the Cannes. R Madhavan’s Rocketry: The Nambi effect received a 10 minutes applause at the Cannes Film festival. Madhavan expressed his excitement and thanked the audience for their love and support in his speech. Madhavan’s movie ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’, is the country’ official selection for its world premiere at the 75th edition of the Cannes . Rocketry had its grand premiere at the convention center of Palais des Festivals. Addressing the audience, the actor said that he is humbled at the response. Rocketry received standing ovation at the Cannes. It was a proud moment as both Madhavan and Narayanan walked the red carpet.

Madhavan and ISRO genius and space scientist Nambi Narayanan, walked the red carpet for the movie. Rocketry: The Nambi effect is based on the life of the Indian Aerospace scientist accused wrongly of espionage. Responding to the appreciation that his film received at the film festival, actor-turned-director Madhavan said in a statement, “I’m overwhelmed and exhilarated. It’s a surreal moment for all of us at Team ‘Rocketry’. Humbled and grateful By God’s grace. Thank you for all your love and support. Now to prepare for the release on July 1.” Rocketry receives 10 minute standing ovation during its premiere at Palas des Festivals.
Movie Cast and Crew
Madhavan’s debut movie is released on a large stage . Scenes of the movie are shot in India, France, Canada, Georgia and Serbia. Besides Madhavan, the movie also stars international actors like Phyllis Logan, Vincent Riotta and Ron Donachie with special appearances by superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Suriya.

TriColour films, Varghese Moolan Pictures and 27th Investments produced ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’, and UFO Moviez and Red Giant Movies and Yash Raj Films and Phars Film Co are its Indian and International distributors respectively. The movie is scheduled to release in six languages world over in Hindi, English, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada, on July 1.
