Netizens slammed Neha Kakkar for copying Falguni Pathak’s original

Fans came harsh on Neha Kakkar and slammed her for copying Falguni Pathak’s iconic song, ‘Maine Payal Hai Chhankai’. Netizens don’t seem impressed, say ‘Maaf karo hume’.

Although it is not the first time a remix is made, it has created a controversy for all the wrong reasons. Popular songs like Ek Ladki Ko Dekha To Aisa Laga, Hawa Banke, Saki song or Vishal Shekar Jawani have become great hits. Recently Neha Kakkar, one of Indian Idol judges received flak when she posted her new song, O Sajna. The song, a remake of Falguni Pathak’s iconic song, Maine Payal Kyu Chhankai. However, the netizens slammed Neha Kakkar for the act.

Netizens slammed Neha Kakkar, remix failed to impress them

Neha Kakkar is one of the Bollywood’s prolific singer. She has climbed the ladders through hard work and perseverance. Her fans support her fully. However, there are some who have criticized her take on ‘O Sajna’ which is a recreation of Falguni Pathak’s iconic song ‘Maine Payal Hai Chhankai.’ It was only this monday she launched her song, ‘O Sajna’ featuring Dhanashree and Priyanka Sharma.

No sooner did the song release, the comparisons began with Falguni’s original ‘Maine Payal Hai Chhankai’. It was obvious that the song holds a special place in the hearts of her fans. And it was clear that Neha’s version failed to impress them. Netizens slammed Neha Kakkar and commented on her posts. While some complimented the original, others slammed her for being a copycat.

Users and Netizens slammed Neha Kakkar and left comments on social media. However there were some of her fans who appreciated her take on the song. On the work front, Neha Kakkar is now appearing as a judge on Indian Idol 13 alongside Vishal Dadlani and Himesh Reshammiya. Indian Idol will now air on Sony every Saturday and Sunday at 8pm.
