Ever since the teaser of SRK and Deepika starrer movie Pathaan released, it has been surrounded with controversies. In spite of many asking for its ban, its advance booking numbers in Germany tell a different story. Pathaan has beaten KGF 2’s lifetime collection with just advance booking in Germany.
Shah Rukh Khan’s movie is expected to release in a couple of days. After one of its songs, ‘Besharam Rang’ created quite a stir nationwide, the Censor Board asked the movie to make the required changes. Following the agreement, the fans can now heave a sigh of relief and excitement as the film is all set for its release. In spite of the numerous nationwide protests, Pathaan’s Advance Booking Collections have not diminished a bit. On the contrary, it has set another record. Sidharth Anand’s action movie’s advance booking numbers beat lifetime collection of Yash’s KGF 2 in Germany. According to a source, the movie has collected 150 thousand Euros in Germany even before release.
SRK, Deepika and John starrer Pathaan’s Advance Booking Collections set a record
Even before its release Pathaan is setting new records. Touted as SRK’s comeback movie after a hiatus of 4 years, Pathaan’s Advance Booking Collections have put to shame Yash starrer KGF2. Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham have come together for the first time in Pathaan. In spite of movie’s numerous controversies, it still managed to upset the all-time collections of one of Bollywood’s blockbusters, KGF 2. One of the renowned news portals has reported that SRK’s action movie beat KGF 2 in Germany with just the advance booking numbers. However, the movie has still not overtaken Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan-1 (PS-1), which was one of the biggest movies to come out last year and earned 155 thousand Euros in its lifetime in Germany.
Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham have come together for the first time in Pathaan. Siddharth Anand and YRF have directed and bankrolled the movie. Pathaan is the fourth installment in Yash Raj Films’ spy universe after Salman Khan-starrer Ek Tha Tiger (2012), Ali Abbas Zafar’s directorial Tiger Zinda Hai (2017) and Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff-starrer War (2019). Pathaan is special as it is the first project wherein Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham have worked together. Salman Khan is also likely to appear in an extended cameo in the film.
