Deepika dances on Mame Khan’s songs

It was all smiles on the faces of the Indian delegation at the inaugration of the Indian Pavilion at the Cannes Festival 2022. At the event, jubilant mood elevated when Folk singer invited the actresses Deepika, Tamannaah, Pooja and Urvashi to dance on his songs. Mame Khan is a legendary folk singer of rajasthan and is one of the attendees of the Film Festival. During the event Deepika dances on Mame songs as she was joined by Tamannah Bhatia, Pooja Hegde and Urvashi Rautela.

Deepika dances on Mame Songs, chosen as a Jury and India the first ‘Country of Honour’ at Marche du Cinema.

It wouldn’t be wrong to say that India was its top this year at the Cannes 2022. Firstly a huge honour for the country when it was chosen as the ‘Country of Honour’ at Marche du Cinema. Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone not only acted as one of the jury members but also received Louis Vutton’s endorsement . Deepika is a part of an eight member jury having names like actor-filmmaker Rebecca Hall and Iranian filmmaker Asghar Farhadi. Led by the Information and Broadcasting Minister Mr Anurag Thakur, Indian delegation was the biggest in the French Riviera so far. Besides Deepika the other members of the delegation included filmmaker Shekhar Kapur, Ricky Kej, Prasoon Joshi, Rajasthan’s folk singer Mame Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, R Madhavan, Pooja Hegde and Tamannaah Bhatia. Aishwarya Rai also reached yesterday along with was one her husband Abhishek and daughter Aaradhya.

Deepika attributes her achievement to a collaborative effort

The actress candidly spoke about her journey from the start to this date. Speaking further she said “I feel we have a long way to go as a country, I feel really proud to be here as an Indian and to be representing the country. But when we look back at 75 Years of Cannes, I have said earlier also that there have been only a handful of Indian films, and Indian talent that have been able to make it and I feel like collectively as a nation today we have it.”
