When we went to perform a post-mortem, we learnt he was Sushant and there were several marks on his body and two to three marks on his neck as well. The postmortem needed to be recorded but higher authorities were asked to only click pics of the body. Hence, we did that as per their order.”

“When I saw Sushant’s body for the first time, I quickly informed my seniors that I feel it is not suicide but a murder. I even told them that we should work as per the rules. However, my seniors told me to click pictures as soon as possible and give the body to the cops. Hence, we performed the postmortem in the night only.”

Based on the lives of the popular singer couple Amar Singh Chamkila and Amarjot Kaur, the movie features singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra. While the singer Diljit Dosanjh plays Chamkila in the movie, Parineeti plays the role of his wife Amarjot Kaur.

Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra to kick off Imtiaz Ali’s Chamkila on December 11. Although the details are still in the wraps, but the movie is based on the killing of Chamkila, his wife and two other band members. For unversed, Amar Singh Chamkila was a songwriter, musician, and composer. Hailing from Punjab, he became popular with the stage name Chamkila.

Regarded as one of the Punjab’s prominent singers, his songs reflected the real Punjabi Culture. His best-known hits include ‘Takue Te Takua’, and ‘Pehle Lalkare Naal’ among others. Couple were assassinated and brutally gunned down on March 8, 1988. No arrests were made at the time and the case has been unsolved to date.

And it picked up more after the couple soon agreed that they will get married soon. However, the date of the wedding is not yet revealed.

Siddharth is a Punjabi, and the family belongs to Chandigarh. Thus, Chandigarh became an absolute choice. Earlier, the couple had also considered marrying in Goa for its beautiful beaches. However, considering the family based in Chandigarh weighed heavy in favour of the former.
